Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who had been both an athlete and captain for the Fierce Five team in 2012 and 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Aly Raisman was one of the gymnasts from the United America who was awarded gold medals at the 2012 Olympics. In 2012 she was the very first American athlete to earn the most number of medals at the Olympics. Gold medals she took home at the Olympics in 2016 marked the second consecutive gold medal for the American team. It made her and fellow teammate Gabby one of the very first Americans to be able to complete this achievement. Additionally, she took home two silver medals, one for the floor exercise as well as an individual all-around. She took a break of three years between each Olympics from competing gymnastics. She was also a part of the gold medal winning American teams in 2 World Championships. Her first experience with gymnastics began at age of two and her favourite sport is floor exercise. Aly is a member of her local Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in memory of her grandma. Aly is planning to pursue the profession of a fashion designer. The next goal she has is growing her line of leotards. She is writing a book entitled Fierce to be published later this year.
